"Writing is a solitary occupation. Family, friends, and society are the natural enemies of the writer. He must be alone, uninterrupted, and slightly savage if he is to sustain and complete an undertaking."

- Jessamyn West:

Exeter Poetry Workshop

Tuesdays, September 23rd to October 28th, 2008 from 7 to 9PM.

117 Water Street, Suite #1 (upstairs), Exeter, NH (603) 773-0083

Through the writing, reading, discussion, and revision of our own poems, this workshop will focus on using the writer’s senses. Our writing will be a translation of individual experience into concrete images that paint a picture. This workshop will give you feedback from an audience—something every poem needs. Led by instructor Jessica Purdy, this class meets for six weeks and costs $95.
